Step 1: Use the “Search” Function in Your Viewer
Your Search window is the most powerful tool you have. It is usually located in the top right corner of your screen (in most viewers used to play, like Firestorm or the official Linden viewer).
Click on the Search button.
You will see several tabs. Click on the Places tab, or depending on your viewer, you can stay on the main search page.
Magic Keywords: In the search box, type one of the following terms (in English, since most of the game is in English):
- Freebies
- 0L$ (this means the price is zero)
- Free
- Dollarbie (these are items that cost 1 Linden, a symbolic amount, extremely cheap).
Step 2: Refine Your Search (What exactly do you need?)
To avoid finding just junk, try to be specific. Whether you are a man or a woman, search separately:
For Women: Search for Free Women, Free Female, Women’s Shape, Free Dress.
For Men: Search for Free Men, Free Male, Men’s Suit.
For Objects/Home: Search for Free Furniture, Free House, Free Plants.
Tip: When the results appear, look at the “Traffic” column or the stars (rating). Places with high traffic are usually large malls or popular spots where many players gather for free gifts.
Step 3: Teleporting and “Grabbing” the Loot
You found a promising place in the list? Here is what to do:
Click on the name of the location to select it.
Press the Teleport button. The game will load briefly, and you will arrive at the destination.
Once there, look around. You will see:
Boxes: Often, freebies are large floating boxes or sitting on shelves.
Boards/Posters (Vendors): A sign with a picture of an object on it. If it says “Free” or “0L$” on it, you can take that item.
How do you take the object?
Right-click on the object or board you like.
Choose Buy from the menu. Even though it says “Buy”, the window that opens will show a price of 0 L$.
Press Buy and then Wear or Add to put it on yourself.
Attention: Some boxes need to be opened. If you took a box into your inventory, double-click it in your “Inventory” list to open it and retrieve the clothes inside.
Step 4: The Secret of “Gift Groups” (One-Time Paid Groups)
This is the professional way to get much higher quality clothes than the usual freebies. Some famous creators have a VIP group. To join the group, you have to pay a one-time fee (usually between 50 and 250 Linden a very small amount for value you get).
Why pay?
Once you are a member of the group, you have access to “Group Gifts”. These are complete sets of clothes, hair, or accessories that the creator offers for free only to group members. In the long run, you end up getting clothes worth hundreds of virtual dollars by exchanging a small sum at the start.
How to find them:
In Search, type: Group Gift, VIP Gift, Subscrib Gift.
Look for well-known brand stores. Go inside them and look near the entrance for a board that says “Join Group for 50L$”. If you see a small display nearby with gifts, it’s worth joining the group!
Step 5: External Sites The Treasure Maps
Searching inside the game can be slow. There are websites that do the work for you and gather all the events and free spots in one place. These are in English, but they are very easy to use:
SeraphimSL (seraphimsl.com) This is the most famous site. Here you find lists of “Freebies” and “Dollarbies” from across the entire grid. You look at the list, see a picture, click the link, and teleport directly there.
FabFree (fabfree.wordpress.com) A blog dedicated to free fashion. They write articles about where the newest free clothes are for both men and women.
PocketGacha While focused on Gacha games, many stores have a “Freebies” section there that you can filter.
