“We Dance Together” ACT VI – Collapse and Rebuilding

Scene:

Months later.
Half the members gone.
Drama happened off stage.
Rumors. Misunderstandings. Fatigue.
The dance floor is nearly empty.

Only ALEX, KATRIN, HANNA, LIAM remain.

LIAM
Well.
We built something beautiful.
And then… it broke.

HANNA
We lost clarity.
Boundaries blurred again.
Leadership weakened.

KATRIN
And we stopped communicating honestly.

ALEX
Maybe this is the natural end.
(Long silence.)

LIAM
Or maybe this is the reset.
Less ego.
Less intensity.
More structure.

HANNA
We start smaller.
Clear rules again.
Written charter.
Regular check-ins.

KATRIN
And we accept impermanence.
Groups evolve.
Not everyone stays forever.

ALEX
So we rebuild.
Not to recreate what was.
But to create something wiser.
Soft light returns.
Two new avatars appear silently in the background newcomers.

LIAM
Looks like someone joined.
Round two?

ALEX (smiles quietly)
No.
Round one.
Again.

Music begins.
Smaller circle.
Stronger foundation.

Lights fade slowly.

EPILOGUE
Spoken by The Group
(All voices together. Slow. Steady.)

We are not permanent.
We are not owned.
We are not perfect.
We are a meeting of needs.
Some come for warmth.
Some for validation.
Some for art.
Some for escape.

We misunderstand.
We assume.
We correct.
We lose people.
We gain others.
We fall in love.
We feel jealous.
We grow tired.
We rebuild.

We are not the same from one night to the next.
We are more than one voice.
We are less than eternity.
We exist only while we choose to stay.

A group is not the absence of conflict.
It is the decision to remain even after conflict.
If we honor the space, it gives back.
If we try to possess it, it disappears.

We are not “me.”
We are not “you.”
For a moment, we are us.

Silence.
A single beat of music.

End of Play.
